IGNOU Regional Centre :

IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) is one of the oldest distance education University which offers courses at all levels. As it is the oldest one, spread in all over the India as well as some regions of International area as well. “Regional Centre” means a Centre which is established by the University for the purpose of coordinating and supervising the work of the Study Centre in any region and for performing such other functions as may be conferred on such Centre by the Board of Management (BoM).

The University operates through a network of 56 Regional Centre (RC), 11 Recognized Regional Centre (RRC) (i.e., 6, IGNOU-Army RRC, 4, IGNOU-Navy RRC 1, IGNOU-Assam Rifles RRC) and nearly 2000 Learner Support Centre across the country.

The vast network of RCs and LSCs extends the outreach of IGNOU to the remote, socially and physically disadvantaged segments of population, providing them access to quality of education in all areas. The Regional Centre has been defined under Section 2(J) of the IGNOU Act as under: “Regional Centre” means a Centre established or maintained by the University for the purpose of coordinating and supervising the work of the Study Centers in any region and for performing such other functions as may be conferred on such Centre by the Board of Management (BoM).

Further, under Section 5(1) (XXVI) of the Act, the University is empowered “To confer autonomous status on a College or a Regional Centre in the manner laid down by the statutes”.

IGNOU Study Center :

IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) not only facilitates education in India only but also on International level as well. To Provide education at global level it is necessarily required to have regional center’s at all area, and number of study center as well to provide education in every city of India as well as other countries.

So, IGNOU opened study centers for their candidates, from where students can take admission according to their interest of course. For taking admission in IGNOU, students can apply online and offline both. Students are advice to take admission online. As per the current situation, online admissions are the only options available in every University and advised safe.

Use of IGNOU Study Centre :

After admission in IGNOU, it allots study center to every candidate so that they can start their studies in their choice of course. Student can look for these points as  a query they can ask in study center.

• IGNOU ASSIGNMENTS: Students are taking admission in IGNOU, there are assignments are assigned to every student and there are marks for it. So, yes it plays important role in completing their degree.  For that  Students need to visit IGNOU study center for related queries with assignments.

• CLASSES : There are practical classes provided to students at all levels, graduation or post graduation, depends on the course.

• ASSIGNMENTS MARKS : Students at all level course can complain for pending assignment marks in the study center. Basically related to their course,  they can go to study center for solution and further procedure to execute, complete a course and get certificates.

• PRACTICAL COUNSELLING : There are practical counseling also provided to students as per requirement by the course they choose.
